Our Governance

  • Fa'amanuia Aloalii

    CHAIRMAN

    Fa'amanuia holds a Bachelor of Science and has been serving the community of Logan as Senior Pastor of Hosanna Logan City for 17 years, spearheading many community initiatives in Logan. He is a member of the Logan Leadership Table, Tasi ia Keriso (a national Pastors Network) consisting of over one thousand people, the PICQ network and many other influential Pasifika networks.

  • Dr. Inez Fainga'a-Manu Sione

    TREASURER

    Dr Inez Fainga'a-Manu Sione (Doctor of Education, LLB/B Business, B Theatre, Grad Dip Legal Practice, Grad Dip of Ed.)

    is of Yolngu (First Nations Australian), Fijian, Tongan and Samoan heritage. Her research was conducted on the Pasifika programs for young people and families across the state of Qld for both non-profit organisation, Qld Health and Qld Education Department. She is currently the Community Research Fellow with Village Connect and Griffith University.

  • Sulu Iosefo

    SECRETARY

    Sulu holds a Diploma in Business Management. She has extensive experience in Administration and management, project management of many community events and initiatives, facilities management, health and safety and COVID management, and the development and management of policies and procedures for Village Connect.

  • Lulu Tupai

    BOARD MEMBER

    Lulu is a registered nurse. She has worked as a Nurse/ Nurse manager in various aged care facilities in Logan. She brings with her extensive experience in working in the Health Sector for over 10 years. Lulu also has a Degree in Food Quality Standards and worked in this field for over 10 years she is currently a volunteer community nurse for Village Connect.

  • Deborah Logoia

    BOARD MEMBER

    Deborah holds a Bachelor of Justice (Criminology) and Diploma in Justice Administration. She has extensive experience in Community Services, Mental Health, Administration and Human Resources management. She is a member of the Salvation Army Communities-for-Children (CfC) Committee in collaboration with Logan Together. Deborah has a passion for advocacy and achieving positive outcomes for Pasifika children, young people and families. She has worked in maternal, early years and child health, prison rehabilitation programs, supported the establishment of projects and services, and championing the voice of community on a local, national and global level, representing Pasifika peoples of Logan, Brisbane and Australia through the Young Pasifika Leaders (YPL) Initiative.

  • Ruta Aloalii

    CEO
    Ruta holds a Diploma in Social & Emotional Wellbeing Counselling and Christian Biblical Studies. She brings her extensive experience in community engagement, her networks with community her relationship management skills, counselling, mentoring, and facilitating community talanoa (conversations). She has led and grown Village Connect over the past 5 years since its establishment in 2017. Managing people and resources as well as inspiring her community and organisation to achieve positive outcomes for Pasifika children and people in Logan.
